Saes Imirin is nineteen years old. She can see the future. She is supposed to be a well-adjusted citizen of Adnec City. Instead, she is the most dangerous weapon in ORACLE’s arsenal.

After eight and a half centuries of complete isolation, the Kaltan Empire is on the brink of a military coup predicted to violently reverse said isolation. Even worse, there are indications that an enemy diviner is manipulating things from behind the scenes. The only person with any hope to stop them is Saes. The only way she can get close to them is to secure the cooperation of the Kaltan ambassador.

Lukkanat Faubasson just wants to be left alone, but the sudden deaths of all other active Kaltan ambassadors has placed tem in charge of the organization te never wanted to join in the first place. Now te needs to manage deadly Kaltan politics, ter own mixed loyalties between ter home and the outside world, and the ‘bodyguard’ who is very clearly an assassin te has been strong-armed into escorting across the border by the Adnecian government.

They have the chance to save Kaltara together. But that would require trust, and time is running out.

Saes Imirin is the debut novel of V Sidus about a bunch of gay barely-more-than-teenage messes whose poor life choices have international consequences. Tentative release date early 2024.
